Founder, Livewell Group·Family Medicine Consultant

Dr Kenneth Gyamfi is a family physician and the founder of Livewell Group. He trained and practised medicine in the United Kingdom, then continued in family medicine in Canada.

Family medicine showed him people across a life — acute illness, chronic disease, prevention, and the ordinary decisions that add up. One lesson stayed with him: much of what shapes health happens outside the consulting room.

Work across Ghana, the United Kingdom and Canada gave that lesson an international view. Livewell is how he chose to act on it.

Ambition

What if staying well were as ordinary as treating illness?

He does not see wellness as a substitute for medicine. He wants the two closer together — wellness supporting healthcare, and healthcare informing wellness.

The aim is practical: help people understand their health, build healthier habits, and reach professional care before a manageable problem becomes a crisis.

And wellness should not stop at the edge of a membership card. Some of Livewell will be commercial. Some of it is public health and community.

Built from Ghana.Designed to travel.

The ambition is not to import someone else’s idea of wellness. It is to build an African-rooted ecosystem — food, movement, community and care — that can still speak beyond one country.

How Livewell began

A question, then a gathering, then an ecosystem.

  1. The question

What if healthcare started long before illness? That question became Livewell — not a clinic, and not only a fitness brand.

  2. The Festival

The first public answer put education, movement, food, screening, music and community in one place. Healthier living had to become culture, not only advice.

  3. The other 364 days

A festival can introduce an idea. Living well happens the rest of the year. So the idea grew into a connected ecosystem.

“Wellness is an everyday thing.”

What he is building

Help people live well — not occasionally, but every day.

Movement, nourishment, recovery, technology, professional care, nature and community. Different expressions. One philosophy. From Ghana, with the intention to travel.

Live well.

Every day.

A well life is built in the things we do every day.
